The Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima
is a peaceful and inspiring place of prayer located on the grounds of St. Joseph Catholic Church in the small community of Bison, Oklahoma. Since its dedication in 1951, the shrine, the only one of its kind in Oklahoma, has been lovingly hosted and maintained by the parishioners of St. Joseph's. Welcoming visitors 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, the shrine makes available votive candles and a guest book in which visitors are invited to share their joys, sorrows and prayer requests. Every Sunday, entries in the guestbook are included in the prayers and petitions of the people of St. Joseph's during Mass.
St. Joseph's also welcomes pilgrimages to the shrine. The circle drive and quiet streets surrounding St. Joseph's church are an ideal setting for processions. Forming a half-circle around the shrine, outdoor Stations of the Cross provide visitors with an enhanced opportunity for prayer and meditation.
